What the role involves:
As a Business Development Specialist at Catalyst, you will be responsible for increasing awareness of Catalyst. Your role will be focused on identifying and developing new sales leads and potential investors, pitching our products & services and maintaining relationships with existing customers and investors.
- Researching organisations to identify new leads and potential new markets.
- Further researching organisations to understand company structure, identify decisions makers, etc.
- Cultivating leads.
- Reaching out to potential clients via email, phone or in person to establish a rapport and schedule meetings.
- Working with the team to bring leads and manage the commercial pipeline.
- Working with commercial operations and technical consultants to guide leads through the pipeline process to deal signing.
- Attending conferences, meetings and industry events where appropriate.
- Preparing presentations for sales meetings .
- Effectively managing client relationships.
- Keeping existing clients informed of updates / development / new products.
- Creating proposals and quotes.
- Negotiation with potential clients..
- Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
- Keeping abreast of existing sales collateral.
- Effective use of product sales kits during the presales process.
