Job Description for 2027 WBG Africa Fellowship Program at World Bank Group - Washington, D.C. or WBG country offices
The World Bank Group Africa Fellowship Program gives Ph.D. candidates and recent Ph.D. graduates from Sub-Saharan Africa six months of hands-on experience in development research and World Bank Group operations. Selected fellows will work in Washington, D.C. or a country office beginning in January 2027.
Eligibility
- Be a Sub-Saharan African national in the final year of a Ph.D. program or within three years of completing a Ph.D.
- Be age 32 or younger on January 1, 2027.
- Have excellent written and spoken English.
- Bring strong quantitative and analytical skills in a field relevant to the World Bank Group's work.
Fellows contribute to research, economic policy, technical assistance, and lending operations.
